DELPIT MAY HAVE BURNED ACHILLES
Monday, August 24: The Browns may halve the protection of lost rookie Grant Delpit for an extended period of time, for fear of a practical Achilles tendon injury on Monday. Delpit had to be transported off the field.

Delpit was selected in the 44th round overall through the Browns in the 2020 NFL Draft. He won the Jim Thorpe award for the nation’s most productive defensive back in 2019, helping LSU win a national title. Designed to be the start of loose safety for the Browns in 2020.

BIG POSITIVE NEGATIVE TESTS FOR NHL, NFL
Monday, August 24: The National Hockey League and the National Football League published COVID-19 verification knowledge on Monday, apparently either league is doing well with protocols. None of the leagues have reviewed positive players and the NFL has had six team staff members who tested positive in the last weekly reporting periods. The NFL has had some controversy in recent days with checks performed at a New Jersey lab that are now shown as false positives.

DOLPHINS, THE ‘U’ WILL BE INVOLVED
Monday, August 24: The Dolphins announced a plan on Monday to have 13,000 enthusiasts (20%) at Hard Rock Stadium for home games this season.
It’ll be 13,000 people, or 20%.

Monday, August 24: The Mets got Major League Baseball approval to resume play after postponing their last four games when two members of their organization tested positive for coronavirus. All remaining players and staff have been double-assessed and are negative, so the Mets will play the Marlins on Tuesday.

See. There’s no explanation why a professional player can’t laugh at the ballpark. Who else is laughing in the backyard lately? The Padres. Geinke allowed three runs in six innings, leaving the game tied, but the Padres won a bomb in eight innings of Manny Machado to take out the Astros, 5-3, to win their seventh consecutive game.

CROWS UNLOAD THOMAS PROBLEMS
Sunday, August 23: The Ravens severed ties with ProBowl’s deep, Earl Thomas, after a series of disturbing incidents, adding the blow to security guard Chuck Clark in Friday’s practice.

Thomas remained out of practice on Saturday and, according to reports, several Ravens teammates went to control to request that Thomas be eliminated from the team. Rumoured to be the Ravens looking for Thomas’ industry, however, any team would wait for him to be dismissed because Baltimore has no way of moving a defiant player to the locker room.
Thomas, 31, is six-time Pro Bowler and four-time First-team All-Pro, most commonly with the Seahawks, but he decided on the Pro Bowl with the Ravens in 2019, recording 49 tackles, two interceptions, a forced loose ball and two catches in 15 games played.
How the hard ones fall. However, Thomas will be hired in the NFL somewhere in 2020. There’s no doubt about that. – Beto

Sunday, August 23: The Capitals fired head coach Todd Reirden on Sunday, bringing out the team’s inability to meet the organization’s top expectations:

Reirden was hired to upgrade Barry Trotz in 2018 after Trotz took the Capitals to their first Stanley Cup title, then resigned to take over as head coach with the Islanders.
Reirden, a former assistant coach of the Penguins 2010-14, led the Capitals to the most sensible of the Metropolitan Division in their two seasons at the helm, compiling an 89-46-16 record, however, the Caps were eliminated in the first. playoffs in 2019 and 2020, not well enough for a superstar team that just won the Stanley Cup. – Beto

Sunday, August 23: The Marlins placed open receiver Francisco Cervelli in IL’s 7-day concussion on Saturday, the eighth concussion documented in his primary league career.

The former pirate fan favorite was hit in the head with a bat at the start of the first game of a doubles game on Saturday against the Nationals. Cervelli signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Marlins by 2020. In 14 games, he cut Array250 /.361/.462 with 3 houses and seven RBIs in 52 at-bats.
Personally, I couldn’t be more concerned about Cervelli’s long-term health. It’s not my decision, of course, but that’s enough. – Beto
