Developer Tellon Capital is cutting the retail domain and a planned hotel in its Bargate domain through a hundred million pounds in Southampton, as the effect of Covid-19 leads to adjustments in demand.
The number of residential complexes will be built up to 519 from the original 287, while the retail industry will build up to 2,515 square meters from 7,343. Plans for a new hotel in the hotel have been withdrawn.
Tellon has now presented a consultation on revised plans to remodel the now demolished Bargate Mall.
James Burchell, a spouse at Tellon Capital, said: “We are proposing a primary program that dynamically responds to the significant effect of Covid-19, which has profoundly replaced the way others live their lives.
“Our reaction will be to offer a program that is creative, sustainable, ecological and achievable in today’s climate. “
