The school football playoffs will introduce a 12-team bracket for the 2024-25 season, expanding the existing four-team format.
The new 12-team bracket in the college football playoffs will include the top five conference champions, who will receive automatic bids. The remaining seven highest-ranked teams will complete the 12-team format.
The top four teams will advance to the first round of the quarterfinals.

As mentioned above, the four highest-ranked convention champions will be ranked 1-4 and will earn a bye to the first round. Qualifiers 5 to 12 will face others in the first round. New Year’s Six-Ball games will be held in the quarterfinals. The semi-finals will be played by balls on a rotating basis, while the venue of the national championship will be decided by bids from potential venues.
On Sunday, Dec. 3, the CFP Selection Committee released the final standings for the fourth 2023-2 season. Michigan, Washington, Texas and Alabama were among the top four to make the school football playoffs over the next year before the expanded format was introduced. First Round
As stated in the official announcement from the CFP, the first rounds would take place either in the box of the top-ranked team or some other designated location through the top-ranked program the week of Saturday, December 21.
While the express dates of the fites have not yet been announced, we can make predictions about how the fit will develop. Keep in mind that the No. 12 spot will go to Liberty, as the Flames are the sixth-ranked convention champion. in the final CFP standings, replacing Oklahoma, a team that finished third in the Big 12, as the No. 12 team.

Since the 4 most sensible groups will have weeks off, the winner of the team indexed above will face groups 1 to 4. Equipment will not be reseeded. This means that the top-ranked team would face the winner of Game 9 and Game 8.
Bowling Games
CFP said the four quarterfinal games and the two playoff semifinal games will be played in the six New Year’s bowls on a rotating basis.
