After a horrible start to a long list of mid-season “coastal” war games in Blacksburg, Va. , The Pack has recovered well with back-to-back victories. Those victories over Pittsburgh and Virginia marked the first wins as visitors since the 2018 season after the Pack went 0-5 last season and the season with the loss to Virginia Tech.
To start with a victory on Saturday, the Pack will likely seek to stay in a situation similar to the UVA’s victory, especially in defence. The state knocked down four other ball losses (3 selections and one forced loose ball) in favor of the Cavaliers and roll forced down the line of purpose.
Duke has 19 ball losses this season, with Quarterback Chase Brice guilty of 10 of them in eight interceptions and two loose balls. Brice has also been captured 18 times so far in five games, so it will be amazing to have tension while restricting the offensive to Deon Jackson and Mataeo Durant, who combined more than 320 yards on the court last week against Syracuse.
In the offensive aspect of the ball, the Pack will have to start its own ground game opposed to a Duke defense taking seventh place in the ACC with only 140 yards on the court allowed consistently with the game. this season, which ranks last in the league, they have already played five games this year.
If the ground game can track down to a back-to-back home game at one point (the Herd’s back totaled 300 yards and 3 touchdowns as opposed to Wake Forest), Leary finds many smart pass opportunities. he has several aerial touchdowns in his last two games, which is already the longest streak of his career.
