Julian Edelman seems to be in a position to think about retirement yet.
Big Cat and PFT jokingly comment on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” podcast, Edelman, if he planned to retire on Friday morning.
“Can we take you to your football retreat?” Big Cat asked for the interview to begin.
Edelman has not announced whether or not to play in 2021, the catcher has a contract until next season.
“You’re crazy, ” said Edelman, laughing, what are you talking about?Right now, we’re Dad right now and we’re sitting and training, straightening our bodies for next year. It’s time to get away from football. It’s been a long and crazy year . . .
“I don’t know. We’re not there yet. This year has been so exciting, man. It was so long. I just want to get a little uncompressed. I’m in Los Angeles right now and I’m going to take my son to school, I’m picking him up and I’m doing that kind of thing you can’t do in the season. I appreciate it now, so I don’t necessarily know what you’re talking about. “
If we looked at Edelman’s response, it would seem that “we have not yet arrived” referred more to the reflected image of retirement than to the direct answer as to whether or not he would hang his heels. However, Edelman said he would, put his frame back in order for next year.
In general, the answer is more of a deviation than anything else.
