The Spurs have been largely inconsistent under the command of Angel Postecoglou and could be located at the back of the Premier League table this Christmas if they fail to win.
These two groups will face each other more than two games apart in the Carabao Cup semi-finals early next year, so they can deal an early mental blow in their bid to triumph at Wembley.
