Huddersfield has signed goalkeeper Joel Pereira in a season from Manchester United.
The 24-year-old moved to Old Trafford in 2012, reached the Premier League in 2017, and spent last season on loan at Hearts.
The city’s head of football operations, Leigh Bromby, told the club’s website: “After Ryan Schofield’s injury, we felt it was vital to have another senior goalkeeper in the group.
“Attracting a player with Joel’s ability shows the direction we’re headed and that players believe they can grow with (the head coach) Carlos (Corberan).
“Joel is an attractive option for us and it’s the way we need our goalkeepers to play.”
