At an event held in the square in November, thousands of protesters waved flags and banners as they marched through the streets. Later that month, “Hands Off Gaza” protesters gathered in Whitworth Park on Oxford Road before marching through the city centre.

And on December 30, protesters gathered at the Trafford Centre demanding a ceasefire in Gaza. Crowds of demonstrators flooded the shopping destination waving flags and clutching banners.
