Dean Huijsen would like to have a prominent role at Juventus next season, while Roma are determined to sign him.
The 18-year-old has been one of Continsa’s most promising young jewels in recent years.
This season, he got promotion to Max Allegri’s first team but made an appearance.
Therefore, the club sent him on loan to Roma in January, where he immediately made his mark.
Although his arrival in the Italian capital responded to Jose Mourinho’s request, the Dutchman also managed to convince the new Daniele De Rossi.
According to Tuttosport IlBianconero, the Roma coach wants Huijsen to stay at the Stadio Olimpico next season.
As the Turin daily explains, the Giallorossi hope to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in six years, which would raise the budget to complete the operation.
The capital have an option to buy the young defender, so he is expected to negotiate a deal with Juventus.
As for Huijsen, the source points to the player’s preference to return to Turin and identify himself as a member of the first team.
However, the teenager does not envisage playing as a 5th or 6th selection defender when he can play a more important role, either in Rome or elsewhere.
After all, Spain U21s have no shortage of suitors, with the likes of RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund keeping a close eye on the situation.
The source believes that Juventus would ask for at least €30 million to complement the tactics with the defender.
