WHAT’S AT STAKE?
A first force check in the mighty Southeast Conference, with two Top 10 groups ready to make a statement. It’s hard to watch someone navigate 10 league games without at least one error, so a loss wouldn’t be fatal to either team’s chances at this early stage of the season. But the winner actually emerges with an advantage for the SEC naming game and an imaginable position in the school football playoffs.
KEY MATCH
Auburn quarterback Bo Nix opposed Georgia’s defense. Nix is in the second-longest streak of consecutive pass attempts in the country without an interception, leading her to 218 in a season-opening win over Kentucky. The only longer series belongs to Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence (276). The Bulldogs have defensive, limiting Arkansas to just 77 yards on the court and 280 total yards in Week 1, but this time they will face a much more dynamic attack.
PLAYERS TO SEE
Auburn: LB KJBritt. Selected AP All-SEC in 2019, is on the follow-up lists of the Bednarik, Butkus and Nagurski awards. Britt had the 11 most sensible tackles of her career in the first game of the season. He’s got 107 tackles and thirteen, he’s approaching for race losses.
Georgia: QB JT Daniels. Southern Cal’s move allowed him to play after recovering from a serious knee injury that prevented him from missing the 2019 maximum. Redshirt Freshman D’Wan Mathis fought in his first school game in Arkansas, and former walk-on Stetson Bennett had to rescue the Bulldogs in the middle of the moment.
