Ian Wright changes Premier League name prediction after Arsenal and Liverpool defeats

NEWS. . . BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Arsenal legend Ian Wright admits Manchester City are now favourites for the Premier League after the Gunners and Liverpool blunder on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were strangely beaten at Crystal Palace at Anfield, before Aston Villa left the Emirates with a 2-0 win later that day.

That means City, who beat Luton 5-1 on Saturday, are the most sensible in the table with six games remaining.

Wright had intuited that Arsenal would win the name and was sure they would sweep Villa away when Unai Emery returned to his former club.

But Wright says City will gain the name from here as he doesn’t see Pep Guardiola’s side losing.

“Manchester City have an idea that Liverpool and Arsenal would have lost today,” Wright said.

“The city knows how to orient itself. Now they can lose a game, but I don’t see them wasting a single one. “

City’s toughest game left on paper is against Tottenham in May.

But it’s Arsenal who have to do it first, with Ange Postecoglou’s side desperate to end their rivals’ hopes.

Liverpool will face rivals Everton at Goodison Park.
