MILAN (AP) – AC Milan expects a full season of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to result in a return to the Champions League after a seven-year absence.
The seven-time European champion Milan on Monday that 38-year-old Ibrahimovic had signed a one-season contract.
The deal is said to be 7 million euros ($8.3 million).
Ibrahimovic began his stint at Milan in January on a six-month contract and helped defeat the Rossoneri season with 10 goals in 18 Serie A games.
Milan finished sixth in the Italian league this month and secured a position in the Europa League.
Serie A starts on 19 September, Ibrahimovic can make his season debut two days earlier when Milan made a stopover at Shamrock Rovers in Ireland in the Europa League qualifying round at the time.
