In statements to Liverpool’s official website, Rhys Williams praised Billy Koumetio, he would continue to improve.
Koumetio had a great year at Anfield, winning his First Team Champions League debut alongside Williams Midtjylland this month.
The 18-year-old has not been seen in the first team since, but Williams believes he will continue to do so as he grows up.
“I haven’t played much with Billy, I’ve trained with him several times. His aerial presence and physical presence will increase with age and the opportunities he has to play,” Williams said.
“I felt like I had to be her Virgin in a safe way and stay with her. Our backs were opposite the wall in the middle of the moment, but he made some clever tackles and some smart headbutts. This will only help your trust. “
Williams and Koumetio are still teenagers, yet it’s smart to hear that Williams has such a high opinion of his teammate.
These other two people may simply be components of central defenses for most of the next decade, especially if Koumetio improves as Williams has told him.
Of course, if he needs to be a starter at Anfield, he will have to mature a lot, the fact that Williams, who is only a year older than him, has taken the reins as vocal leader of the Champions League proves that he may be missing in this area, however, is all that comes with the experience.
Either way, the long-term seems brilliant for Liverpool in the middle of the middle, Koumetio and Williams arrive as teenagers, while Joe Gomez and Nat Phillips still have years ahead.
