FC Porto will hold talks with coach Sergio Conceicao until they play the Portuguese Cup final on May 26.
As reported by Portuguese newspaper A Bola (via Milan News), Porto are not going to make drastic decisions regarding their coach.
Milan are closely linked to Conceicao’s move as they search for a replacement for Stefano Pioli ahead of next season, but will have to wait for explanations about the former Inter and Lazio player’s situation.
Conceicao recently signed a contract extension, but Pinto da Costa lost the presidential election to André Villas-Boas and it turned out that the extension would only be legal if Da Costa remained president.
Given that Conceicao has publicly supported Da Costa in the run-up to the elections, the scenario is settled in Porto.
Porto will face La Liga champions Sporting CP in the cup final in Jamor on May 26 and after that match serious positions will be taken leading to a decision.
Milan may already need to have a new coach in place before the end of the month, meaning Conceicao might have to think outside the box if he wants the Milan coach.
