Liverpool will face Ajax, Atalanta and Midtjylland at the organizing level of this year’s Champions League as they begin their quest for a seventh title.
Premier League champions were eliminated in the last 16 stages of last season’s festival by Atletico Madrid in one of the last matches played before the coronavirus stop hitting football.
Last season, however, Jurgen Klopp’s men had won the celebrated trophy in Madrid thanks to a 2-0 win over Tottenham, which in turn made up for their final loss in 2017/18 to Real Madrid.
As champions of England, the Reds had a position on the first pot, they may not attract any of the other most sensible seed, adding Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus.
