After Brownsburg scored the first extra-time property, Westfield only needed one move, a 10-yard landing pass from Maximus Webster to Reid Schepers in the right corner of the finish area, to respond: the plan to go through the 2-point conversion. Offensive coordinator Blair Schlicher then called the room.
FOR THEBONNS: Game of Tricks? Have faith. Westfield plays for the win and achieves the No. 2 Brownsburg
“I was a little nervous about the game, ” said Gilbert. ” It’s not my style. “
Webster simulated the movement in the middle of Micah Hauser and returned the ball to Carson Voorhis, who had been covered in the correct location. Voorhis, a high defensiveer who launched himself into the attack on Monday, ran to the left corner for the finish area. and launched himself for victory.
The scoreboard sparked a wild birthday party for the Shamrocks (5-1), who have won five games in a row since they lost the first game, 56-20, to the top-ranked Cathedral in Class 5A.

Cathedral’s rapid attack came to life the moment the Irish sent the Cincinnati opposition for the time being a week in a row.
The first part was not smart for the top-ranked Irish in Class 5A, even though they were up 21-7. Nothing worked in ground or air play and that meant part-time changes.
Cathedral’s key came from the moment Coach Bill Peebles heard a message from senior quarterback Nathan McCahill at halftime that set the tone for how they were looking to finish the game.
“You know you have a quarterback who understands the game when he comes in and says run the damn ball,” Peebles said. “So we thought we were starting to build on him in the part of the moment and he kept saying, let’s give it to Jake. (Langdon) internal and things are going to happen. “
McCahill said Langdon and La Salle’s idea would run out of confronting Langdon for four quarters.
“They have very smart game creators in their high school,” McCahill said. “So we knew that this week there would be great success in running the ball and the first half, they did a wonderful task to contain us, but as I told the boys in the locker room, facing Jake Langdon for four quarters is not easy. . »
After leading for 154 yards on the court in the middle of the moment, the Irish offensive line won many accolades.
“They always, in the middle of the moment, just leveled up,” McCahill said. “They’re right and that’s when we want it in the middle of the moment. “- Caleb Lynn
