Inter celebrate the name of Serie A with an open-air bus parade. Abraham secures Roma’s draw in Naples

MILAN (AP) — Thousands of fans took to the streets Sunday as Inter Milan paraded in an open-top bus from the San Siro stadium to the city’s cathedral to celebrate the Nerazzurri’s Italian league title.

The birthday party followed a 2-0 home win over Turin on Sunday, six days after Inter memorably sealed their name with a derby win over city rivals AC Milan.

Inter threw coach Simone Inzaghi into the air on the pitch at San Siro to start the celebration.

Hakan Calhanoglu scored twice in the second half to extend Inter’s lead to 19 points over second-placed Milan, which drew 0-0 at third-placed Juventus on Saturday.

ABRAHAM SAVES ROME

Tammy Abraham scored her first goal after a long absence to give fifth-placed Roma a 2-2 draw with defending champion Napoli, ninth.

Still, Roma saw their merit over sixth-placed Atalanta, reduced to two problems after Atalanta beat Empoli 2-0.

Fourth-placed Bologna needed a late goal from Alexis Saelemaekers to secure a 1-1 draw with relegation-threatened Udinese.

Paulo Dybala gave Roma the lead with a penalty near the hour mark and Mathias Olivera equalized for Napoli with a deflected shot. Victor Osimhen then converted a penalty for Napoli after a foul on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia before Abraham discovered the goal with a header.

Abraham’s goal was initially declared offside, but was later awarded following a VAR review.

Roma defender Evan Ndicka assisted Abraham’s goal by heading in a Dybala corner. Earlier this month, Ndicka suffered a collapsed left lung due to an attack against Udinese.

Abraham tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the last Serie A game last season. He returned at the beginning of the month.

Mario Pasalic and Ademola Lookman scored for Atalanta.

Fiorentina beat second-to-last Sassuolo 5-1 at the last moment.

In the first leg of the Europa League semifinals on Thursday, Roma will host unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta in Marseille.
