Inter Milan are still the most sensible in Serie A

Inter Milan extended their lead in Serie A despite squandering a lead and drawing 1-1 in Genoa.

Marko Arnautovic gave Inter the lead three minutes before the break, but Radu Dragusin equalised for the hosts seconds before the break when he returned home from a corner. The result leaves Inter five points behind Juventus, who have a game in hand.

Earlier, Napoli drew 0-0 at home to Monza, Lazio beat Frosinone 3-1 and Fiorentina beat Turin 1-0 with an after-time goal.

It was the fifth time in their last seven games that defending champion Napoli had failed to score. Matteo Pessina missed a penalty for Monza midway through the second half and teammate Mirko Maric was sent off in stoppage time. Both coaches also earned red cards in the chaotic final minutes.

Meanwhile, Napoli’s barren run allowed them to get just 28 numbers out of 54 imaginable. It’s in seventh place.

Goals were no less difficult to score in Florence, but a header from defender Lucas Ranieri (his first of the season in the league) earned the home side a 1-0 victory over Turin.
