Inter Milan, in a position to sign the defender after making two sales: Zenit Saint Petersburg and Dinamo Zagreb, stars on the list of finalists

Inter Milan have Robert Renan of Zenit St. Petersburg and Mauro Perkovic of Dinamo Zagreb on their defensive roster.

This is reported in today’s print edition of the Milanese newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri could move after making some notable sales.

One of Inter’s main priorities for the final weeks of the summer transfer window is to sign a defender.

The option would be to hire a left-back to update Alessandro Bastoni.

Last season, Carlos Augusto played on the left wing of Inter’s three full-backs. However, the Brazilian will have to play basically in the winger position, as Tajon Buchanan will be absent for the first months of next season.

Inter will therefore be looking for a left-footed player to suit that role.

The Nerazzurri have been thinking about their goal for several weeks.

But now Inter have cash on hand. They are about to close the sale of Lucien Agoume and Martin Satriano.

Inter Oaktree Capital have prioritized signing a young defender.

The Nerazzurri owners are keen to sign a player with clients to extend him as a resale value.

And according to La Gazzetta, Inter are aiming for two objectives.

One of them is Zenit St. Petersburg defender Robert Renan.

Zenit wants around 20 million euros for the Brazilian. It would be a small amount.

However, Inter may be in a position to make a move after promoting Agoume and Satriano.

Meanwhile, Inter are following Dinamo defender Mauro Perkovic, La Gazzetta reports.

The 21-year-old is capable of playing both as a central defender and as a left back. In this sense, it would be precisely the profile that Inter is looking for.

Perkovic would be around 7 million euros, reports La Gazzetta.

The newspaper also adds that Inter could wait until the second half of August to sign a defender.
