Man United need to succeed in a deal with Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi has shown that the Italian club would possibly be forced to sell Manchester United move target Andre Onana this summer.
United, who beat Leeds United 2-0 in their first pre-season friendly on Wednesday afternoon, know the Inter goalkeeper is their main target to update David de Gea. Director of football John Murtough has held talks with Inter and there is a sense of confidence that a deal will be reached.
Coach Erik ten Hag has worked with Onana at Ajax and knows the Cameroonian well, which means he has a very productive understanding of what he would bring to Old Trafford. United need a confident goalkeeper comfortable with possession, and Onana is one of the most productive in the industry.
The 27-year-old joined Inter last summer and had a first crusade at San Siro, keeping 19 blank sheets in 41 games. He also helped them win two trophies and triumph in the Champions League final.

Although Inzaghi expects him to report to pre-season education on Thursday, he admitted Serie A heavyweights are unlikely to retain his services.
Inzaghi, speaking on Wednesday, said: “He is an Inter player, [on Thursday] he will be among the players called up for pre-season. We know that the window of movement is unpredictable and that all Italian clubs have to sell before they can buy.
