Inter Milan are in a position to send young striker Samuele Mulattieri to Sassuolo as part of a deal for Davide Frattesi.
This is according to today’s print edition of Milan’s Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, FCInterNews, which reports that Mulattieri, 22, is expected to return to the Nerazzurri from Frosinone before joining Neroverdi as part of a deal for Frattesi.
Following his loan deal for Mulattieri this season, Frosinone have the option to sign the 22-year-old permanently. They can do it for a payment of 4. 5 million euros.
There is no willingness for Frosinone to provoke the option and point to Mulattieri permanently.
However, Inter will try to bring the young striker back immediately. The Nerazzurri have the option to buy Mulattieri for the same amount that Frosinone will pay for him plus an additional million euros.
Given that the price of the 22-year-old has risen this season, Inter need not simply bet on him for the Frosinone purchase option.
On the contrary, reports the Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri have a plan.
Inter push to sign midfielder Sasuolo Frattesi
The Neroverdi are open for sale to the 23-year-old, who is targeted by Juventus and Roma. However, as is their modus operandi, the Emilian will sell at the right price.
On the other hand, Inter knows very well that Sassuolo may hesitate to oppose the offer of a young player in return.
Given his penchant for signing youngsters and his development, the 22-year-old is an herbal target.
As a result, Inter are in a position to abandon Mulattieri as part of a deal for Frattesi.
While the former is a player they are willing to combine tactics with, the latter is the one they need to build.
