Milan, 28 May: Simone Inzaghi has resigned as Lazio’s head coach amid links to the void at Inter.
The 45-year-old spent his entire five-year career as a manager at stadio Olimpico, where he also enjoyed 11 years of service in his playing days.
Inzaghi guided Lazio to the good fortune of Coppa Italia in 2018-19 and some Italian Supercoppa triumphs in 2017 and 2019, as well as the end of the club’s 13-year wait for Champions League qualifying.
He hoped to terminate his contract with Biancocelesti, which will expire at the end of next month, but now it has been shown that the former foreigner from Italy is leaving the club.
Lazio issued one on its official online website on Thursday, but did not refer to Inzaghi by name.
“We respect the brain replacement of a coach and, before that, a player who for many years has connected his call to Lazio’s family circle and Biancocelesti’s many successes,” he said.

Inzaghi, who in the past was promoted as Tottenham’s candidate, won 108, tied 35 and lost 55 of his 198 games in the Lazio rate.
Italy reports recommend that Inter is close to reaching an agreement with Inzaghi to succeed Antonio Conte, who left San Siro by mutual consent on Wednesday a month after finishing the 11th birthday of Wait for the Nerazzurri at the Scudetto.
Conte’s departure came amid a dispute between the coach and the club’s owners over pay cuts and player sales, and Inter reportedly raised a hundred million euros to help balance the books.
