Mark your calendars, fans.
But maybe I’ll use a pencil or a pen.
This week marks the opening of Iowa High School football practices for the 2020 season. As things stand, in two weeks, the groups will start playing.
Here we have compiled interim schedules week by week for the Iowa Central Metropolitan League 18.
We say provisionally because lately all groups have matches scheduled for seven weeks of the normal season, and all matches are subject to replenishment on the occasion of a positive COVID-19 test.
Week 1 is scheduled for August 28, and all games are scheduled for Fridays, unless otherwise noted. The playoffs, for which all groups will qualify this season, will begin on October 16 and will take place in the state finals, scheduled for November 19 and 20.
These schedules were compiled on CIML’s official website, team schedules on official school websites, and conversations with coaches and athletic directors.
