Ipswich-Liverpool LIVE!
Liverpool’s new era under Arne Slot began on Saturday with a 2-0 win over hard-working Ipswich Townen, with goals from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah.
Jota came in from inside the box on the hour mark after a nice pass from Salah, before the Egyptian was called into action a few minutes later.
That was after Ipswich enjoyed the first half, aided by a rowdy Portman Road crowd for their first Premier League comeback after a 22-year absence.
Salah’s goal was his ninth in the opening weekend of a Premier League season, breaking the record jointly held by Wayne Rooney, Alan Shearer and Frank Lampard.
