Liverpool will face Norwich City on Sunday in the fourth round of the FA Cup, and the fixture will be even more poignant as it is the first since Jurgen Klopp announced he would leave Anfield at the end of the season.
Klopp made the revelation on Friday morning, telling Liverpool fans: “I will leave the club at the end of the season. “
He explained, “I’m running out of energy. . . I know I can’t do my homework over and over again. “
Fans will give Guyager a warm welcome when they take on their old friend David Wagner in the Cup. The two men have known each other for more than 25 years and Wagner was the most productive man at Klopp’s wedding, having been teammates in Mainz.
Norwich are eighth in the league with Wagner and are looking for a place in the play-offs.
