Meanwhile, Arsenal’s technical director, Edu, also joyed that the Gunners had effectively signed a defense deal.
Edu said: “We are very happy to have signed Gabriel.He is a player who has been reading for a while and asked through many clubs, so we are proud to have accepted and finished this play with Lille and the player.”
“Gabriel is a high-quality player and Mikel and his coaches are ahead of their integration into the club.”
Arsenal will begin their Premier League crusade with a newly promoted Fulham later this month.
