Jadon Sancho could return on loan to Borussia Dortmund as Bundesliga club and Manchester United sign deal

Borussia Dortmund are reaching an agreement with Manchester United to re-sign Jadon Sancho on loan, according to talkSPORT.

England forward Sancho has been banished by Man United since a social media attack on manager Erik ten Hag in September after the Dutchman publicly criticised his performance level in training.

The Red Devils won the race to sign the former Manchester City star and paid Dortmund £73 million for theirs in July 2021.

It was a huge blow for Man United, who beat several of Europe’s more sensible clubs on his signing, although Sancho’s stay at Old Trafford was disappointing.

Having developed a reputation as a goal maker and helping out in Germany, Sancho has struggled on that pitch with just 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances for Man United.

He took more than two months off from last season because of fitness issues.

Sancho supported through manager Ten Hag, but their relationship deteriorated early this campaign.

Following Man United’s 3-1 defeat at Arsenal in September, Ten Hag told journalists Sancho was left out of the squad altogether due to his performance level in training not being high enough.

Hours later Sancho issued a furious denial of Ten Hag’s claims on social media, arguing the Dutchman was making him a scapegoat.

Sancho refused to apologise for his outburst, leading to him being banished from the first team.

The 23-year-old is expected to leave Man United, linked to a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

However, it seems that his former club Dortmund will relieve Sancho of his nightmare at Old Trafford, if only for a transitional period.
