Borussia Dortmund closed the door to any possible move by English winger Jadon Sancho, but Manchester United does not appear to have accepted the decision.
Dortmund have said that if the deadline of 10 August is reached without an agreement, they would remain the player for another season, but United insisted that the deadline was synthetic and unrealistic.
The bosses of Old Trafford d – and still obviously – that the deadline was a tactic of the Germans and meant nothing. They wouldn’t be in a hurry.
However, Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc said at a press convention that Sancho would remain in Dortmund and that the resolution was final. He also revealed that Dortmund had secretly extended Sancho’s contract from 2022 to 2023, which gave the Bundesliga team 4 additional moving windows to sell later.
This turns out to have put an end to this, but United’s reaction suggests that they did not settle for the purpose of the decision.
In the end, Dortmund needs the global to know that it is an established Team of the Champions League and one of the most productive groups on the global, not a club that nurtures. By staying with Sancho, they make a try and they’d seem a little ridiculous if they backed out at this point.
What United will do next in terms of trade movement will reveal the fact about the matter. It is not a long moving window: there are 4 and a half weeks left before the start of the new season and 8 until the window closes completely, so you will have to intensify the activity in other spaces if, as it seems, Sancho is to do not go.
