Jadon Sancho: Paris Saint-Germain in talks with Manchester United for striker

Paris Saint-Germain have held talks with Manchester United about the signing of striker Jadon Sancho.

Discussions revolved around the terms of a possible deal and Sancho could be open to a resolution whose non-public terms are not an issue.

Sancho has now returned to the Manchester United squad and played the pre-season after burying the hatchet with coach Erik ten Hag.

Juventus and Borussia Dortmund have already spoken out about the signing of the winger this summer, valued at £40m.

The dialogue is still open between PSG on an agreement as Manuel Ugarte will also do so this summer.

United retains a stake in Ugarte, although at the costs presented through PSG.

United aware PSG want to do business having just signed Joao Neves from Benfica for £50m.

The player is set to move to Old Trafford, but like United this summer, they are applying for a number of other midfielders, adding Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana, Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi, Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat and Burnley’s Sander Berge.

A squad space will need to be created for United to enter the market for a midfielder, but that could be freed up if Fulham upgrades Scott McTominay after two offers were rejected.

Chido Obi-Martin is in Manchester ahead of United.

The terms agreed with the player after his departure from Arsenal.

The 16-year-old chose United over staying at Arsenal or moving to Germany. It is understood that the offers from the German clubs were higher than United’s conditions.

The summer 2024 move-in window officially closes on August 30 at p. m. UK time in the Premier League and :30 p. m. in Scotland.

The Premier League has brought forward the deadline to register for Europe’s other primary leagues. The final dates have been set after talks with the leagues of England, Germany, Italy, Spain and France.
