According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, Philadelphia Eagles rookie Jalen Reagor won’t be a few weeks after a tear in the UCL thumb.
NFL informant Adam Caplan reported that Reagor will miss six to eight weeks. The Eagles have not yet announced a timetable for the rookie’s recovery.
He suffered Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams, but returned later in the game. He led all Eagles catchers with 60 shots, according to Pro Football Reference.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Reagor will land in the injured reserve for the injury.
The 21-year-old Eagles was the 21st overall pick in the 2020 draft and was expected to enter the year as a key game creator for Quarterback Carson Wentz, who controlled to lead a scrap receiver organization in the playoffs.
Reagor was very promising in the educational field, but a break in the shoulder last August threatened to leave him out of action for the start of the season, yet he was able to play week 1.
The TCU recorded receptions for 96 yards, combining with players such as Miles Sanders, DeSean Jackson, Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert to give Wentz an advanced set of weapons a year ago.
However, this new injury is a cause for concern, as it is Reagor’s time in his first year. Keeping him healthy is important for an Eagles offense that wants his speed and ability to deviate.
While injured, look for Greg Ward, JJ Arcega-Whiteside and John Hightower to play a bigger role in the offensive.
