Jan Oblak responds to scenarios about Chelsea handover

Chelsea signed Kepa Arrizabalaga in the summer of 2018 for 71 million pounds, making the Spaniard the top goalkeeper in world football.

And Kepa obviously wasn’t the only one who made a decision about its maximum price, since then it hasn’t managed to produce the kind of functionality worthy of this award.

The foreigner from Spain 2018/19 is not terrible, but by no means the most productive goalkeeper in the Premier League.

Then, last season, the Kepa form plummeted.

The 25-year-old is so poor, in fact, that Frank Lampard decided to leave him in two separate terms, at which point Willy Caballero qualified as a starter in several league matches, the FA Cup final and the Blues’ Champions. League clash with Bayern Munich.

Kepa also has the idea of finishing the Premier League season with the worst stop by any goalkeeper.

Such a poor way, of course, has led to the hypothesis that Frank Lampard needs to move Kepa this summer, or at least point to the goalkeeper as a competition.

Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak and Ajax’s Andre Onana are two of the top scorers related to a signing for Stamford Bridge.

The first of those stars is the maximum expensive option, as their contract would involve a termination clause of 109 million pounds.

Oblak also recently attracted Chelsea’s interest in its services.

Speaking about Atletico Madrid’s quarter-final match with RB Leipzig on Thursday night (find out how to watch this clash here), the striker asked about Les Bleus’ reported progress.

However, Oblak remained shy in the face of the situation, opting to concentrate on his team’s next exit:

“Now is not the time for this, now it is Leipzig.

“I will be back to the season when the last game is over and we will have 3 [more games to play].

“Then there will be time to speak. But first, Leipzig. I’m looking ahead.”
