Ante las últimas declaraciones del director deportivo del Sevilla FC, Víctor Orta, en las que me señala y acusa con una serie de comentarios absolutamente fuera de lugar, expongo que en ningún caso me he negado a salir del Sevilla FC, una circunstancia en la que ha afectado más su trabajo y proceder, sin opciones reales que satisficieran a todas las partes.
Sí hubo algunas ofertas, pero las descarté porque no consideré que fueran los destinos adecuados por diversas razones. Víctor Orta no dice la verdad y sabe perfectamente cuál ha sido mi pensamiento en todo momento. Jamás, en once años de carrera profesional, he tenido un problema, situación que me obliga ahora a lamentar las palabras del director deportivo del Sevilla FC hacia mi persona.
Durante todos estos años, y en distintos equipos, he demostrado mi capacidad, además de un respeto profundo por cada club, que Víctor Orta cargue contra mí, o contra cualquier futbolista de la actual plantilla, me parece inapropiado y tremendamente doloroso. Quiero demostrar que puedo revertir la situación. Esta temporada he jugado 300 minutos, y confío, con más oportunidades, poder ayudar al equipo y a mis compañeros.
