A rumor on social media has run that the attacker on loan was hospitalized because he had taken an overdose of the so-called “crack hippie”.
But the 23-year-old didn’t see the funny look when he put an end to the rumours, sparked through a French journalist.
He wrote: “We want to avoid giving credibility to the guys on Twitter that no one knows and who have no information.
“Everyone is in tension when everything is well.
“I think you invent those bulls.”
He then posted a video giving his fans a thumbs up to make sure he’s okay.
Augustin joined the championship winners in January on loan from RB Leipzig.
But he made three replacement appearances under coach Marcelo Bielsa after suffering a hamstring injury.
