The Belgian full-back has received a lot of praise since his standout performance last weekend in the Premier League.
Manchester City midfielder Rodri has had some sparks for his new teammate Jeremy Doku.
Doku scored one goal and assisted four others in City’s 6-1 win over Bournemouth last weekend. An action that earned him the applause of coach Pep Guardiola but also of his Spanish teammate.
Rodri believes the Belgian has filled the void left by the departures of former City wingers. He told the English press: “With the arrival of Doku, we have a player with a profile that we haven’t had for a long time. Perhaps Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sané played in style. We didn’t have those quick extremes.
Rodri also insisted on the Belgian international’s state of mind: “Doku feels satisfied now and I’m very satisfied for him. “
