Raúl Jiménez remains “open to everything” as he continues to attract interest from Manchester United and Juventus, but the Wolves striker will continue to push away from Molineux.
The 29-year-old has earned a reputation as one of the top integral leaders of European football.
His skills attract many looks of admiration from outside the West Midlands, with the most sensitive groups in England, Italy and Spain closely monitoring their situation.
He is connected to a long-term contract with the Wolves, but significant donations can take him away from his current environment: Liverpool have already valued Diogo Jota from Nuno’s clutches in a deal worth 41 million pounds ($52 million).
Jimenez does not close doors at the front of the move, the Mexican admits before he disents the interest he arouses to be “cool”, but is in no hurry to take on a new challenge.
Speaking once at the Mexican Embassy in London to celebrate the country’s independence, the striker told reporters: “I still have three seasons left [in my contract].
“If I stay here at Wolves, I’d be very happy. We know that everything can and may be a change. I’m open to anything. “
“I’ve already had the chance to play some matches [in the Champions League]. It’s amazing and it’s in my plans to reproduce it, but first I have to do what I have to do with wolves. “
Jimenez has already honored the festival of elite European football clubs with Benfica, with a transfer to England made in 2018.
His inventory has skyrocketed since then, with 46 targets recorded in 102 appearances for the Wolves, but he admits he’s not entirely sure where he will go when he first considered moving to Molineux.
Jimenez said: “I didn’t know [where Wolverhampton was].
“How little I knew about England London, Newcastle. I knew very little about England and knew nothing about Wolverhampton.
“It’s one of the most productive decisions I’ve ever made. It’s complicated because I’m with the Denmark national team and that’s where I got the offer.
“They told me about the club, about the project. I said ” this is not a well-known team” and I had to investigate. It’s an attractive selection and to this day I don’t regret doing it.
Jiménez is already up and running in the 2020-2021 campaign, with two more Premier League goals added to his account, and Wolves will return to action on Sunday in West Ham.
