Manchester United would possibly have dropped a huge lead on their summer move-in priorities by announcing a new headhunter.
The club has placed an announcement on its ManUtd.com for a first-team recruiting analyst, who will inform the head of scouting technician.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be able to spend on transfers this summer as he seeks to close the gap over Liverpool and Man City in the Premier League.
Solskjaer is very happy with United’s third place, but made it clear that he was looking to “climb the leaderboard.
Jadon Sancho is said to be Solskjaer’s main target, with a report on The Sun indicating that Solskjaer will have a budget of around 140 million pounds for his team.
A midfielder, a centre-back and a right-back are also on the club’s wanted list, while a new goalkeeper can also climb the roster.
The task being offered seeks the user necessary to “identify players who demonstrate the possibility of playing in the first team”. There is nothing appealing, however, one of the key functions will be to provide a “full functionality search service with a specific approach to gatekeepers”.
That might well recommend that Solskjaer be his position as goalkeeper at Old Trafford.
There are question marks about De Gea’s role as number one next season after recent high-profile errors.
Of course, Dean Henderson will return from his loan with Sheffield United after an impressive period with the Blades. However, the young man reportedly demanded assurances that he would be the club’s number one.
Solskjaer has a resolution to take, but you may not yet be able to face De Gea.
Sergio Romero reportedly will also leave his position as club assistant after not a glance amid De Gea’s poor form.
Romero signed for United in 2015 from Sampdoria and has since acted as a forged substitute for De Gea.
In fact, the Red Devils have given him playtime in cup competitions. This season he has played all seven Europa League games with Solskjaer and 15 times in total.
Five others have reached the FA Cup and, according to Metro.co.uk, Romero hopes to play against De Gea in last weekend’s semi-final loss to Chelsea.
However, the paper said That Romero “really disappointed” when he was informed that Solskjaer had selected De Gea before him and that he is now contemplating a move.
