Joe Gomez has lifted the lid over the sprawling Liverpool camp as arrangements for the new Premier League season continue.
The current Champions of England were in Austria last week as they prepare for the defence of their title, and the new crusade will begin on 12 September.
Liverpool beat Stuttgart 3-0 in a friendly on Saturday and will face RB Salzburg in their best pre-season form on Tuesday.
Gomez reviewed the preparations, heading to the club’s official website, said: “You have to exercise the way you play, I suppose, and that’s all that the gaffer stands out.”
‘It’s obviously complicated and we’ve had tired legs for a few days, however, that’s an integral component of the task and you can’t expect anything else in the preseason.
“It’s a healthy environment and an advantage.
“Just being able to make this joke between us and being able to rub your face on anything that is rarely very at all football, helps and takes things away when you do it on the field.
“It’s just the nature of things and I think it’s one of the team’s balances that’s the best thing: we can tell ourselves and what we think when it’s serious and when they’re jokes and take it to our chin.
“Simply being comfortable with each other and being able to drive others is essential.
Jurgen Klopp’s will face Arsenal at the annual Community Shield event on Saturday.
The departures of Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren leave Liverpool shortly before a season not easy
