Joe Hart felt bad that Santa Claus got caught in the crossfire when Hearts had a nightmare at Celtic before Christmas.
But the Hoops hero believes the festive frustration has dissipated at Celtic Park and it could end in a joyous season after all. It’s possible Hart will feel the seismic shift in Parkhead on Saturday that has occurred over the past few weeks. and forged a strong bond with their backs, and that came to a head when Hearts was defeated during that holiday in Glasgow’s East End.
Perhaps the leaders of the Hoops are thinking of inviting Santa Claus back so the punters can make amends. The old Saint Nick could even take on the duty of handing over the Premiership trophy if Celts manage to keep that push all the way to the byline. Hart said: “Obviously, I didn’t need Santa to be booed that day. But they booed us and it’s true. We didn’t get it right that day and Hearts put us to bed.
“But it happens sometimes, and it’s vital that we put ourselves in the right position at the right time. Saturday was the only game that mattered, we did everything we could and got the result right. I enjoyed it. The atmosphere is only like that when you play like that. They can’t take us this far without us playing. Recently, we’ve put ourselves in a smart position to make you feel smart.
“But it didn’t go smoothly and it’s not a coincidence. It’s thanks to the difficult paintings and the enthusiasts who know that we’re in a war and that we’re putting everything on the line. We enjoyed them and it was an amazing atmosphere for us to play, but maybe if we played and showed, we risked everything. We were close on Saturday and I enjoyed it.
Like the enthusiasts in the stands. Celtic have followed their team and have certainly enjoyed the functionality of the season. There were quality goals from Kyogo, a masterclass in midfield from Matt O’Riley and a remarkable display of captaincy from Callum McGregor. Whether it’s O’Riley’s sublime set – for the moment – or McGregor’s 70-yard run to make a very important tackle, Celtic have the quality and preference in equal measure.
Hart said, “Those are the two sides we have. We just need to keep working on them. We have Daizen Maeda, whose hamstring was meant to hang from the bone, but it looked as if he had been shot through a cannon when he got here. “.
“James Forrest, oh my God, what a player. A talent, a user who comes and plays like that, plays like he does every day.
“The systems, the way teams paint and the windows of movement are what they are, but you can’t buy such quality, you can’t buy such a presence on the football field. I can just call the player. “
Maeda did, however, get a special mention. The answer when he left the dugout just weeks after fearing his season was over will not be forgotten by the Japanese star or anyone else present. Even the genial Maeda later admitted on social media that he was moved.
Hart said, “Oh my God. It was a smart welcome. We are part of something, we are combined and united and we have a common goal. This sentiment cannot be underestimated. I don’t know Daizen because there’s ice running around. “through his veins, but it makes my hair stand on end.
“I’m not going to lie. It was tough for the team when we heard the same news: we thought he was going to miss the rest of the season. It was trivial, the game (against Rangers) was over. We did it. I don’t know how or when it happened; it’s hard to tell with Daizen because he doesn’t say much. But as medical staff, as a team, and as a person, we have to give them credit. To be able to not only play but also have an impact on a game like that was pretty special.
So did Kyoto’s performance as his brace saw him score 19 goals in a season when some suggested he was out of shape. Hart said, “That’s life. This shows where you stand.

“There are only skeptics when you’re on a safe level, and Kyogo is on a safe level. I’d put him in a position where I look at him and I think he’s going to beat us the game.
“That’s probably the biggest compliment you can give. I like to see a striker who, at some point, no matter the moment, no matter what form he’s in, is going to win the game against us. Kyogo is in fact one of the one players.
Hart is too. The goalkeeper is getting ready to say goodbye but it’s clear that he’s enjoying every season. He’s also in excellent form and although Celtic finally managed to sail this weekend, their very good save from Cammy Devlin’s 1-0 win didn’t go unnoticed by the fans either.
Hart said, “I don’t know if there’s going to be a tipping point; He would still have supported us even if it had happened. But you never know, right? We can only worry about certainties and I know that if I don’t and if we win 1-0, we will win the game. Often, we’ll take advantage of that. I can only respect my completion of the deal. The guys don’t ask much of me, so I like to be there when I can.
And it turns out that everyone from gamers to controllers to enthusiasts is equally determined to do their part.
