It would probably not be easy for the Las Vegas Raiders to reach their winning streak on Sunday, and head coach Jon Gruden knows it.
The Raiders undefeated New England in week three, and Gruden called it a “tough operation” to face Cam Newton while QB played just two games in a Patriots uniform.
“That’s when you play against Cam Newton and the New England Patriots,” Gruden said. “And now that they’ve come together, it’s a double challenge for each and every defender, each and every one. “and every coach and every one and every one and every team that comes in. “
The Raiders will build on what Newton has done in the afterlife and how the Patriots use a certain body of groups of workers. Grden is amazed at what Newton can accomplish in a football box with all the moves he makes as a runner and pin.
“They’re betting power plays to their left, taking other people with their right shoulders,” Gruden said. “He gets up and throws a ball into the field. I don’t know how he does it.
“I haven’t noticed a lot of guys walk through my doors and look like Cam. I call it Slam. Slam Newton. Es a complex quarterback. It’s too big for work. He’s so smart in sports. It’s amazing what’s completed (sustained). It’s impressive. I’m glad to see you healthy again, along the way. »
The Patriots ran the ball 67 times and passed it 63 times in two weeks. Newton leads the Patriots with 26 carries for 122 yards. Tom Brady carried the ball 26 times as the Patriots’ starting quarterback throughout the season.
“Thanks to the Patriots, I think it’s a genuine honor for your training team to replace gears so temporarily,” Gruden said. “And I suppose you’d expect it from the Patriots coaches, but it’s awesome. And the way they replace the gears is also very impressive.
