Arsenal’s new boy Jonathan Dinzeyi says he’s “really excited” to start a new bankruptcy in his career after being released through Tottenham this summer.
The 20-year-old headquarters has become the fourth player to sign for Arsenal’s academy last week following the arrivals of George Lewis, Salah-Eddine and Tim Akinola.
Dinzeyi, chosen through England at the under-18 level, failed to make the first team of the Spurs with Mauricio Pochettino or Jose Mourinho and captured the north London club last month.
Arsenal’s academy, led by Per Mertesacker, introduced a recruitment crusade this summer and made it clear that Dinzeyi would leave his sour rivals.
“It’s a sentiment,” Dinzeyi told Arsenal’s official website.
“Arsenal is a huge club and was the first club I supported as a kid.
“They have a wonderful story and with the arrival of the new coach who likes to play with many young players, I think it’s a wonderful opportunity to show the enthusiasm and training of what I’m doing.
“I’m excited to start now.”
When asked to describe his taste for the game, he replied: “I’m a middle center playing ball.
“I love attacking and winning headbutts and keeping the leaves blank is important to me. If I don’t, it hurts.
“I love doing my job.”
Dinzeyi will be in Arsenal’s under-23 team and the youngster is looking ahead to team up with Tyreece John-Jules and Folarin Balogun.
“I’ve played against them several times and they’re good.
“I can’t wait to play with them this time!”
The Zaguero added: ”At the moment, I just need to start as many games as I can imagine with the under-23 and, in the long run, I hope to be worried in some cup matches with the first team.
“Who knows what will happen after that? It’s just a matter of testing myself with the under-23s right now and seizing whatever opportunity I’ve been given.”
