A look at what’s happening around European football on Friday:
England
Newcastle will avoid a third consecutive Premier League defeat when playing at Crystal Palace. Newcastle will receive the most sensible goalscorer Callum Wilson. Since he signed Bournemouth this summer, the striker has scored six goals in eight Premier League games but missed last weekend’s defeat at Chelsea due to a ham- tendon problem. Palalace runs out of Wilfried Zaha, who is away with coronavirus. With thirteen nine-match problems, Palace is two issues farther away than Newcastle.
Spain
Valladolid receives the Levante in search of their third direct victory after a winless start in their Spanish league campaign. Former Brazilian Ronaldo’s team has nine problems in 10 games. The Levant is two problems long, only the relegation zone with a game running. The Levante has tied their last four games with a score of 1-1. I’d lost three in a row before that. Valladolid ended their eight-match winning streak with back-to-back wins against Athletic Bilbao and Granada.
Germany
Werder Bremen can set a curious record in the Bundesliga in Wolfsburg. Bremen’s 1–1 draw against Bayern Munich last weekend was the fifth in a row, tied the record for Bayer Leverkusen, who in the past had five consecutive 1–1 draws. Wolfsburg has tied five of his eight games so far, so some other percentage of trouble on Friday wouldn’t come as a surprise. Wolfsburg and Leverkusen, who receive Hertha Berlin on Sunday, are the only two undefeated groups in the league.
France
Rennes made a stopover in troubled Strasbourg and wants to finish a depressing form that has noticed that the early season favorite only won once in the last 10 games in total. Rennes has now dropped to seventh place and conceded goals by carelessness. , have a decent record as a visitor, having lost only one of their last six league trips. It was an intelligent start for the leader of Paris Saint-Germain. But Rennes’ defense will have to watch for striker Ludovic Ajorque. you scored last week and you’ll be sure to add to your 4 league goals.
