The Patriots have eliminated catcher Julian Edelman from Sunday’s game against the Bills on Friday and will also miss at least the next two games.
Edelman, placed in the injured reserve on Saturday, underwent knee surgery last week after being injured in the first seven weeks of the normal season. Head coach Bill Belichick said he doesn’t think it’s an injury that will end the season.
The Patriots also placed offensive lineman Justin Herron in the injured reserve. She had two games in heels this season and came out with an ankle injury.
New England also added five players to the list. Supporter Josh Uche and defensive back Cody Davis were activated from the injured reserve and defensive lineman Nick Thurman near the practice squad. Defensive lineman Tashawn Bower and open receiver Isaiah Zuber were called up for Sunday’s game against the Bills and will return to the practice squad after the end.
