Jota is back in green and white, however, he turned the blue air with his return message to Celtic fans.
The Parkhead favourite is east of Glasgow after an 18-month exile in the Saudi Pro League and Ligue 1.
It’s been a fairly unhappy spell too – the Portuguese winger was initially frozen out of Al-Ittihad’s SPL squad until March despite his £25million price tag.
On the move last summer, but even in Europe, his fortunes couldn’t improve.
At Stade Rennais, he had 4 hours of football in 10 games, scoring once in the league, while the Reds and Blacks collapsed in the relegation zone.
But he hasn’t thrown a ball this year.
So it’s perhaps little wonder he’s so excited to be back in Scotland where he savoured so much success with Ange Postecoglou two years ago.
Jota joined Celtic on a loan of a season of Benfica before in 2022.
A year later, the Rich Recruitment Crusade component in Saudi Arabia.
But now he is back and has signed a gigantic contract of five years and part of the years with the Brendan Rodgers team.
And the 25 -year -old could not hide his joy of being back in Glasgow, and has left a little with his five -words rally call to his fans.
Taking to Instagram he wrote: “I am f****** home baby!”
And his return to his position was satisfied mostly in his brain because he was reintroduced to Celtic enthusiasts and media on Monday afternoon.
He said: “I am buzzing. I feel at home and for me, it is anything I point to.
“Today, going to Lennoxtown and to training, it felt nostalgic, but it felt like I had never left, that’s the feeling at the moment.
“It has been a year and a role with some difficulties, basically in the box where I did not have many opportunities to play.
“Physically, it’s not my most productive time, but it will come temporarily with the minutes, playing time and training, and I can’t wait.
“Once I had time to think about it and I understood that it was the most productive step for my career, I felt like” Ok, let’s go back “, and that is correct. “
