LIVERPOOL, England (AP) – Diogo Jota scored his first match for Liverpool in the English Premier League with the ultimate goal of the champions defeating Arsenal 3-1 for the third consecutive victory to open his name’s defence on Monday.
Signed this month by Wolverhampton to raise intensity to Liverpool’s attack options, Jota sought to succeed Sadio Mane in the middle of the moment, and scored his goal in the 88th minute with a shot from the edge of the area after a poor headbutt by David Luiz.
Prior to that, Andrew Robertson issued an error that led to Arsenal’s first purpose through Alexandre Lacazette by scoring himself to put Liverpool ahead in the 34th minute, culminating in a chaotic nine-minute 3-purpose finish.
Sadio Mane tied for one goals.
It is worrying to start the season for Liverpool, which has already beat Chelsea and is one of three groups with a maximum of nine problems after 3 rounds.
Arsenal lost trouble for the first time after past victories over Fulham and West Ham, but there will be two big missed opportunities through Lacazette at 2-1.
In both cases, Lacazette played hand-in-hand with goalkeeper Alisson, which prevented the French striker’s poor efforts. Lacazette noticed that she hid her head on the blouse on the bench after being replaced a while later.
Arsenal got ahead of the 25, and Robertson’s guilt is to blame, which failed to cope with a regime center from the right and controlled to set up Lacazette to force a stale end over the failed Alisson.
Mane tied Liverpool in three minutes, hitting a rebound after Mohamed Salah cut in-house and sent a shot that went through goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
Then it was the turn of Robertson, Liverpool’s offensive left-back, to make a shot by placing himself in the shot of a center of the other side of the team, Trent Alexander-Arnold, to the ball with his chest and lift a skillful shot towards the net in the 34 .
Jota, who played in the English League Cup last week on his Liverpool debut, came in in the 80th minute and turned down a transparent opportunity for Salah’s pass before setting it up to finish off Arsenal’s hopes.
