“Once blue, blue.”

That’s the touching message with which Jude Bellingham will leave St Andrew’s after sealing his very good signing for Borussia Dortmund.

The 17-year-old had his departure from Birmingham City on Monday after the Bundesliga giants announced that he had signed a long-term contract.

It is understood that the Blues will get about 26 million pounds in advance for Bellingham, the Blues academy graduate, the 17-year-longest player in history.

Dortmund won the race to recruit the central midfielder, although Manchester United did his best, adding an excursion to the education floor to verify and capture his signature.

And after his move, Bellingham paid tribute to his training year club, which accompanied him for a decade.

“I can’t thank Birmingham City enough for what they’ve done for me, not just this year, but since I was seven,” he told the Blues’ official website.

“Of course, I wish all those related to the Club the best. Once blue, blue.

“However, I am incredibly excited to have joined one of the biggest clubs in Europe. The direction they’re headed and how much they’re helping young players has made it a simple resolution for me and my family.”

“I can’t wait to perform in front of all the fans when they return to one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world.”

Dortmund said he would be in his plans for the first team, and the club handed him the number 22 shirt he wore for the Blues this season.
