Jurgen Klopp has gone on the charm offensive to Max Verstappen as the former Liverpool boss requests a meeting with the Formula One star.
Klopp, who left his Anfield post at the end of last season, has begun his role as Red Bull’s global head of soccer.
The move to sign up online sparked controversy when it was announced due to Red Bull’s much-maligned multi-club model.
That hasn’t stopped Klopp from sharing his enthusiasm for joining Red Bull, and the football strategist even requested a meeting with the cartel boy of his operation. . . four-time world champion Verstappen.
Asked if he planned to chat with the racing driver, Klopp replied: “There is so much to say! Not just his approach, but all kinds of things. It’s crazy. I would love to spend time with him to understand how he can do this under the risk of going three hundred miles an hour in a car while being in his most productive state of mind. Its consistent with interesting.
Aside from meeting Verstappen and other big Red Bull sports stars, one of the biggest questions upon Klopp’s arrival is whether he ever sought to return to management.
The German categorically shut down the proposition, but has insisted he’s all-in on the job at hand.
He added: “I will be the coach of a Red Bull team, that is a transparent commitment.

A frank assessment of his long-term control prospects, but even though he’s barely been given his feet under the table, Klopp hasn’t been afraid to irritate some feathers.
The 2019 Champions League winner has embarked on a full-scale attack at the upcoming Club World Cup, a festival in which Red Bull Salzburg is expected to take part.

“We now have a lot of injuries in European football. At some point we have to reduce the amount of games.
