Jurgen Klopp believes this season will be “the most intense season of our lives” and said Liverpool will take a more rotating approach.
The Reds are less than two weeks away from their first of the season, and Arsenal will be the rival in the Community Shield on August 29.
They haven’t played a prep friendly yet, but they’re in Austria for a 10-day educational camp that will result in at least one clash, with Salzburg and Ajax features for Premier League champions.
But since the last season didn’t end until July 26, there shouldn’t be many changes in terms of fitness or acuity, which is a positive given the relentless schedule ahead.
Liverpool will begin their Premier League season on the weekend of 12 September, with two League Cup matches imaginable next month, while the Champions League begins in October and the FA Cup in January.
If they pass to the end in each and every cup competition, the Reds can play 65 games over 274 days, with two games a week as the norm for most of 2020/21.
Klopp, speaking to the club’s official website, described the crusade before “probably the most intense season of our lives” and explained why the arrival of Kostas Tsimikas motivated the desire to tour.
“Because of the coronavirus, we can’t prepare perfectly because the market isn’t like that, no one knows exactly what it will be like in the coming months,” he said.
“I think we’re all more positive than negative about the stage in the world, but we still have to paint on it and we still have to wait for the right solution, which is there.”

The side is one of the non-easy maximum positions in Klopp’s system, and Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold were in the Reds’ top five minutes played last season, with only Virgil van Dijk in addition to the Scot.
Tsimikas joins an organization that includes players such as Takumi Minamino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner, Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi, players who may just start in most european organizations and who, however, are in Liverpool with world-class features in the XI. .
Add teenagers like Neco Williams, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones, as well as goalkeeper Adrian, the Reds have a great reserve quality that Klopp can run a busy campaign with.
