Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he already included Billy Koumetio in Liverpool camp in Australia. However, he also admitted that he had expressed some reservations in kindness of the young man’s physical demands.
After a historic Premier League season, the most sensible English champions have strengthened their roster by finishing the signing of Olympiacos’ Kostas Tsimikas and entrusting goalkeeper U18 Koumetio with his first professional contract.
Klopp welcomed the arrival of Tsimikas and Koumetio and invited the duo to the team’s educational camp in Austria. The head of the Networks intended to evaluate the talent of his new recruits and also revealed his plans for young Koumetio.
Speaking on his club’s official website, Klopp admitted to being surprised by Koumetio’s immediate physical growth, and even referred to France’s U18 foreign central as a “great talent”.
“I said [to Koumetio]: “The last time I saw you, you were 20 centimeters lower if I’m right.” It’s pretty special. Yes, he’s a wonderful talent,” Klopp said.
Despite Koumetio’s impressive physical attributes, Klopp is wary of the young man’s condition, as he has been injured for “a while”. The famous coach is contemplating hitting Koumetio among the team’s under-23s, but is convinced that the time has come for Liverpool to help the defender prepare for an imagined first-team deyet in the future.
“Unfortunately, Billy’s been injured for a while, so he’ll be back now. The ideal scenario would be that maybe it’s the first with the U-23 and stuff like that. But an educational camp is a wonderful opportunity for him, it’s smart.” for us to see it, ” said Klopp.

Klopp also revealed that he had explained to Koumetio that educational sessions could help him follow the right path. He then presses to make him aware of what Koumetio wants as a teenager and assures that they will not force the young man’s progress.
“I took him [to Koumetio] to a consultation this morning [Sunday] because we have to make sure we don’t do too much with him, it’s very important.
