Liverpool 2. 0 is like the new grandstand at Anfield Road: it’s not finished yet and already has an imposing and formidable presence.
Ten home games this season have resulted in as many wins and 31 goals, and the so-called draws in progress unfolded with all the excitement of a Mohamed Salah sprint.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are taking the stage direction to repair their luster after last season’s rust, with Anfield in as impressive form as at any time in their reign.
Considering those that will be held in December and January (Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United), keeping the citadel will be key to keeping Liverpool in the race for the name in the new year.
The Europa League may not be the festival in which Klopp has sought to revitalise, but Liverpool are the favourites of the tournament for good reason, with LASK being the last to suffer for their attacking power.
Following an inexplicable mistake in Toulouse, Liverpool qualified for the round of 16. Their Austrian visitors were beaten in 51 minutes, while Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Salah ensured that the final moments of this match were spent wondering if Toulouse could hold on to the title. The most sensible place in jeopardy for the last match of the organization, before the confirmation of the Ligue 1 draw, which meant Klopp’s team qualified as the winner of the organization.

There will come a time in this year’s festival when Liverpool will have to come down from third gear. Unfortunately, for those expecting an impressive and competitive UEFA night, it’s never been a night like this.
From the start, Austrian side LASK gave off a “happy to be here” atmosphere similar to that of the visitors from the lower league in the FA Cup. I don’t want to sound too dismissive, but to recommend that he doesn’t match is an understatement, even with the nine adjustments made to Klopp’s line-up.
Liverpool took the lead at half-time, with Diaz’s header and Gakpo’s close-range finish hinting at a frenetic forty-five-minute opening to rival Arsenal the night before.
With more clinical finishes, this is possible. Salah among those who made ted in an unusual way. It was evident that he would not remain silent for long.
The Egyptian was looking for his 200th goal in Liverpool. Su inclusion from the start had him and Klopp trying to take that step sooner rather than later. His 199th came shortly after the break with a penalty sent to Kop’s team. He was substituted a short time later, so Sunday’s game against Fulham could be a gala moment in search of the double century.
Elsewhere there have been compromises in the line-up, with Klopp unfazed during the last organisational game in Toulouse.
The clear reasoning. Liverpool’s youngsters would probably have performed well against an opponent also under the hosts’ command.
It’s not that Liverpool want to be informal in announcing their authority. Let’s not say it’s only been 12 months since many assumed the Klopp empire was crumbling.
Now he has a pedigree to spare. Gakpo was a permanent starter when he signed after last winter’s World Cup. Now the Dutchman has to be patient because Darwin Nunez has made the role of the number nine his own as much as the number on his shirt.

In addition to scoring, Gakpo took the penalty that allowed Salah to get close to his marker.
Similarly, Ryan Gravenberch is an exciting work in progress. Among the most enduring images of Liverpool’s draw against Manchester City last weekend was the image of Gravenberch walking away from Rodri as he set up Trent Alexander-Arnold’s equaliser.
LASK’s hard-working midfielders were never going to keep up with the galloping Dutchman’s speed in the events in which he discovered his rhythm, of which there were many.
Gakpo scored the fourth goal in stoppage time, the only surprise being that it took so long. Klopp will be looking for more than one trophy if his ability to rotate the flank with minimal impact on the attacking style remains intact.
. . . that Liverpool don’t have to worry about this festival until March, precisely what Klopp would have wanted.
They looked smart tonight and didn’t miss a beat. The body of workers has been replaced, but it looks like the German is rebuilding something at Anfield.

On the win and whether Liverpool could have scored more. . .
“Yes, we started well and maybe we scored more. It was a wonderful victory. “
Let him have some chances. . .
“Yes [he may have scored a hat-trick]! If it was up to me, I would have scored every chance, but I had to settle for two.
About the atmosphere. . .
“That’s when you score here. “
In the most sensible of the bunch. . .
“It’s important. We will be as sensible as possible in our game with the quality of a job well done. We move on.
On Liverpool, who have all 10 of their home games this season. . .
“It’s a record, we’ll keep going and win as much as we can. With our quality, we can win a lot of games.
Liverpool improved their organisation and qualified for the knockout stages. This is because Toulouse and Union are tied. . . However, the final whistle is yet to come in this clash.
And that’s it: it’s all pretty educational once the hosts have taken a 2-0 lead from the start. But LASK were enterprising and entertaining and deserved a goal.
Liverpool 4-0 LASK
Gakpo scores his own and the match ends.
Liverpool move to the right. The ball reaches TAA, who surprises no one as he throws a delightful ball to the Dutchman he touches before cutting to his right and firing past Lawal.
There will be 4 minutes of added time.
LASK enthusiasts have a lovely voice, the whole night was bloodless, but they didn’t prevent the entire game, he is my match boy. . .
This game is coming to an end. . . If it is called now, there may be no more objectives (remember that I am wrong. . . ).
Free kick for LASK, Horvath shoots and there is a slight panic in the Liverpool area but neither of them gets a decent touch (Zulj tries a shot from behind. . . ) and the home side end up clearing.
There are ten minutes left. Are there any goals left in this game?
More tweaks for the hosts: the two Bradleys and Chambers upgrade Gravenberch and Tsimikas.
LASK and Usor’s most enterprising move in the middle of the game won a corner for the Austrians in front of their raucous supporters. Can you give them something to cheer for from set pieces? The answer is a big “almost. ” LASK’s long, patient delivery before the ball reached the ever-impressive Usor just inside the box, the Nigerian shot, forcing Kellehar to make a clever save.
I’ve said it before and I’m about to say it again: LASK deserves at least one purpose tonight, at least for its business.
As in the first half, this forty-five a little flat. However, I still think there is at least one more goal left in the game. . .
Another wonderful opportunity for LASK, who deserved a goal tonight. It’s a four-on-three when Horvath plays Flecker, but he stays on the ball too long when he actually deserved to have passed the ball with his boot. Once again, luck comes to nothing. . His supporters have an intelligent voice, but the LASK attack also deserves to have given them something to cheer for.
A good possibility for the hosts is to see Tsimikas in the middle again, this time angering Klopp because his cross is neither here nor there. . . They’ve done much better.
It’s all Liverpool at the moment, they are passing the ball and being patient, but there is more than a trace that they knew they had won the game.
Normally, while kicking this, LASK runs down the left and Zulj crosses low, Bello recovers the ball and does better while Kellehar comes off his line and saves well.
It was an hour and almost a quarter to go when Tsimikas burst into the LASK box before firing the ball across the six-yard box, but Nunez couldn’t make it to the finish.
Nunez had an almost instant effect when his shot from the corner of the box was brilliantly saved by Lawal, who moments earlier had held his legs well after an attempt through Elliott.
There will be no 200th Liverpool goal for Salah as he is part of a trio for Klopp making the changes.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones and Darwin Núñez Konate, Díaz and the Egyptian King.
Trent AA looked like they were about to come into play, Liverpool wouldn’t let go. . .
Meanwhile, LASK created a chance very well with Zulj and Bello combining well before Ljubicic shot well over the crossbar. The Austrian team looked impressive tonight but lacked quality in the final third.
Liverpool 3-0 LASK
Who else would you expect Salah to take the shot at?The Egyptian king placed the ball in the back right corner of the net to score his 199th goal for Liverpool – useful.
Gakpo is in the box and doesn’t seem to know what to do, he hits it, forcing Lawal off his line, the LASK goalkeeper brings the Dutchman down and the referee points straight to the spot.
A first hint of a chance for Salah when the Egyptian entered the box, Array cut to his left and sent the ball into the box from six yards. The danger was only averted for a moment when Gakpo struck from distance, the ball deflected. “No,” is the long, short answer. Good start from the hosts.
They are back at Anfield. How many more goals are there in this match?I’ll stick with three. . . (I’m terribly wrong. . . ).
When was the last time this happened?- Maybe it’s too cold to play a few more seconds?
At first it looked like Liverpool would play their part with the 2-0 lead, but the expected goals did not materialise and LASK more than fulfilled their part, refusing to back down and settle for their fate.
Elliott plays against Salah and this time Salah takes this shot with his more reliable left ankle. The shot, however, is more of a backward pass than a potential breaker and Lawal has no problem with the LASK goal.
Great ball over the most sensible for Salah who caught the ball in the area against a center that did not threaten the net nor did Gapko hit at the far post.
Gómez tries his from distance, the ball goes beyond the left post.
It is not surprising, however, that Liverpool made almost twice as many passes as their rivals (277 to 139).
Hitting Diaz in goal, it took him a while to hit the shot, but it wouldn’t have counted because the Colombian was offside.
This match is a bit flat: Liverpool, as you can imagine, have already won the match and LASK have the quality to sow doubts in the minds of their hosts.
Do not communicate anything about it in the last five minutes.
LASK enthusiasts remain clearly determined to enjoy one of Europe’s wonderful stadiums, regardless of the outcome.
Free kick for Liverpool from 25 metres to the left. Elliott tries, but it’s a broad and fairly comfortable effort.
Tsimikas came close to scoring his first goal in five-and-a-half years and what a goal. The ball ended up at the feet of the Greek full-back and he let it go, the attempt crashed into the crossbar that was He was probably still shaking, such was the ferocity of the shot.

LASK recovered with a free throw. Usor has the freedom of Anfield but plays poorly in the middle. Another decent position does not serve Austrian entrepreneurs.
Corner kick for the visitors (the third so far): will they be able to make their counts? It’s almost like that. They pass before the ball reaches close to the post, where Zulj shoots wide. . . however, it wouldn’t have mattered because the ZASK boy was offside.
LASK showed a lot of ambition, especially Usor, who looks sharp and put pressure on the hosts’ defence, but they simply lack the quality to make it count and shoot on goal. Salah will lick his lips to reach two hundred tonight.
I’m not worried, but the game is over.
Liverpool seem to need to score with each and every attack, this may just be a cricket score.
Liverpool 2-0 LASK
Gakpo does two in two minutes. LASK had a decent attack that lost steam before Liverpool attacked with Salah. Egyptian crosses for Gakpo, he and Diaz were tended to and sent the ball back to Salah, who headed towards the penalty area, the ball then smashed for Gakpo, who fired in from two metres away.
Liverpool 1-0 LASK
Díaz opened the scoring with a well-crafted goal. The hosts surrounded the ball from left to right, with the striker locating Gomez on the right. The Colombian made a late run into the box and a cross from Gomez found Diaz’s head and the attempt gave Lawal no chance in ASK’s goal.
Gakpo plays in the left inner channel of the area, his first touch is wonderful and the ball gets stuck under him, which explains why the shot goes well over the bar. Best of the locals.
Liverpool have yet to be given the first gear and Lawal in goal for KASK has not yet stopped.
As I write, Elliott has a lock on the box that is well locked. At the moment, it’s LASK enthusiasts who make the most noise.
Gakpo, Díaz and Salah exchanged passes before running out of traffic. LASK then counterattacked at speed down the left with Zulj and Bello controlling to win a corner. Liverpool eliminated the danger from set pieces.
This indicates that visitors are only here to defend.
Liverpool haven’t started yet, although they have deflected one or two passes in the first few days.
A brilliant first move from the Austrians as they made a short, incisive pass in the final third, but the last ball passed and Kelleher recovered. But the visitors began to show initiative.
They are at play at Anfield, Liverpool in their all-red kit and LASK in a predominantly white kit with some black stripes.
One thing to keep in mind is that Salah needs two more goals to reach two hundred for the Reds.
And we’re just moments away from the start.
Liverpool have played at Anfield several times this season and have won them all. LASK faces that tonight.
“Tonight is going to be a big step, creating an atmosphere on the field and in the stands. . . We have to work hard, play football. In the last games we did a lot of smart things, but we were not as smart as we are. We have to protect well, LASK do smart things and we have to put them under control and make sure we win the game.
“It’s incredible, it’s a machine. ” TNT Sports’ Michael Owen talks about Mo Salah, who is just one of two players decided this weekend.

Liverpool XI vs. Liverpool XI LASK: Kelleher; Gómez, Quansah, Konaté, Tsimikas; Endo, Gravenberch, Elliott; Diaz, Salah, Gakpo Substitutes: Pitaluga, Van Dijk, Szoboszlai, Nunez, Mac Allister, Jones, Matip, Chambers, Gordon, Doak, Alexander-Arnold, Bradley
Jurgen Klopp had to make some changes, although perhaps not as many as the nine he made tonight. Kostas Tsimikas and Mohamed Salah are the only men to retain their places in the starting XI that drew 1-1 with Manchester City on Saturday. Caoimhin Kelleher on the goal as expected with Alisson injured. The bench is impressive, so in the event of an impact, the cavalry can step in.
LASK XI TO FACE LIVERPOOL: Lawal; Ziereis, Andrade, Talovierov; Stojkovic, Horvath, Ljubic, Bello; Zulj; Usor, Ljubicic Substitutes: Siebenhandl, Renner, Kone, Balic, Jovicic, Mustapha, Havel, Ba, Goiginger, Flecker, Luckeneder, Darboe

Hello and welcome to Liverpool’s Europa League organisational level policy, as opposed to LASK at Anfield.
The Premier League side will be hoping to bounce back from their loss to Toulouse earlier this month and seal their position in the round of 16. A win would secure Liverpool’s advancement to the round of 16 and put them in pole position to end the best of the organization. There is one game left.
“We are at the beginning of the most intense era of the entire season. Now we play on Thursday and Sunday, it’s super tough,” said Jurgen Klopp.
“What we have to have tomorrow is an atmosphere…we have to make sure that this is a European night and that is what I expect us to do – a proper European night at Anfield, really going for it. I will line up a team with fresh legs who want to go for it, enjoy the game and will really fight for a result.
“If Anfield did that as well, it would be a huge help. We have to show that Anfield is a glorious position to come, but also a terrible position to come at the same time.
Klopp will start in goalkeeper Alisson Becker and winger Diogo Jota, who suffered knocks in the 1-1 draw against Manchester City on Saturday.
“They both came out. With Alisson it’s a bit less, so we’ll have to see,” Klopp said. “He might not play on Thursday or Sunday, probably not the week after, so maybe he’ll just be pretty good, but Diogo will take a little bit longer. We don’t know exactly how long, but it’s a bit more serious.
Alisson’s absence Caoimhin Kelleher will take his place in goal.
“He would have played anyway and he deserves the chance to play a few more games and he will be able to show his full potential,” Klopp added.
