Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation donates defibrillator to marine striker of FA Cup draw in Tottenham

The Navy League club will get an external defibrillator from the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation before its FA Cup clash with Tottenham in January.

The donation is one of 3 donations made through the Foundation this week to commemorate what would have been Edinburgh’s 51st anniversary.

Donations have been made to Newport County AFC and Essex Community First Aid Events, a third to Marine AFC as they prepare to face Tottenham, for whom Edinburgh played, in the FA Cup’s third circular next month.

Maritime protection officer Peter McCormack said: “We look forward to receiving this charitable donation and its use.

“This offer of kindness demonstrates the link between Justin, Tottenham and the FA Cup while highlighting our new relationship, which will be a genuine long-term legacy of this wonderful opportunity in our club’s history when we face Tottenham Hotspur next month. “

The Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation was established through Edinburgh’s family circle after his tragic death from cardiac arrest in June 2019.

He never regained consciousness and died five days later. An automatic external defibrillator (DEA) on site may have particularly higher chances of survival in Edinburgh.

Newport Country receives a donation from the Foundation

In an effort to turn this tragic occasion into something positive, Edinburgh’s family circle established the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation.

The purpose is to fund schooling and schooling for effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of a defibrillator through investment defibrillators for sites that cannot.

The main objective is to cross a crusade for a legislative substitution, the “Justin Act”, which would force all sports and fitness facilities in the UK to be equipped with a defibrillator.
